Technical Team Leader

What you’ll be doing 

Are you up for the challenge of optimizing packhouse operations? If you’re tech-savvy and enjoy working with computers and learning new systems, our packhouse team has an exciting opportunity for you. We’re seeking a Fixed Term Technical Team Leader to oversee the efficient functioning of our packhouse technology.

As the Technical Team Leader, you will work alongside other team leads to ensure the smooth running of the packhouse. Your responsibilities will include overseeing product quality and shed speed. You’ll move staff, control equipment speeds, and monitor equipment to maintain smooth operations.  

Your day-to-day tasks will include: 

• Monitoring production volumes and fruit flow 
• Following Packhouse startup procedures 
• Monitoring data to ensure our finished cartons of apples are optimal weight
• Working alongside the quality team to make sure that fruit is up to our high standards  

What you’ll bring:  

• You communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of people 
• IT savvy – you like learning new technology and systems 
• You are a problem solver and use your initiative  
• Ideally, you have experience working in a packhouse –  not essential 

• Have the right to work in New Zealand and be able to pass pre-employment screening and checks 
• Must be able to work up to 6 days a week from 6am – 4pm until August
