Technical Team Leader

What you’ll be doing

Are you excited by the challenge of ensuring a packhouse runs to the best of its ability? Are you tech savvy and enjoy working with computers and learning new systems?

Our packhouse team are looking for a new Technical Team Leader. This is a role where you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our packhouse.

As a Technical Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing both the quality of product that our packhouse sends out, and the shed speed– you will do this by deploying staff strategically, controlling equipment speed and monitoring blemish detection equipment.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Monitoring production volumes and fruit flow
• Following Packhouse startup procedures  
• Monitoring data to ensure our finished cartons of apples are optimal weight
• Working alongside the quality team to make sure that fruit is up to our high standards

What you’ll bring:

• You are a people person – you are able to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of people
• You are IT savvy – you will be working with a number of technological systems
• You are a problem solver and use your initiative  
• Ideally, you have experience working in a packhouse – however, this is not essential
• Have the right to work in New Zealand and be able to pass pre-employment screening and checks
