Lab Assistant (fruit maturity)

This is a fixed term role for approximately 4 months

What you’ll be doing

How would you like to work alongside a small but dedicated team, ensuring that Mr Apple continues to lead the way in the testing and monitoring of fruit maturity?

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Using various equipment to assess fruit maturity, to give orchards the green light to pick.
• Sampling, testing and assessing Trial samples – this may involve some picking on the orchard.
• Assisting with Food Safety testing in the packhouses.

What you’ll bring:

• Be a team player, able to follow instructions and work under pressure.
• Experience working with fruit is beneficial but not essential – this doesn’t have to have been with apples.
• Be available to work 6 days at the peak of the season (Saturdays)
• Be physically fit
• Have the right to work in New Zealand.
