Loadout Team Supervisor

You will be the go-to for a Loadout Team of three staff, in a role where no two days are the same. At our Coolstore, the main purpose is to receive apples from our packhouses, get the apples under 2 degrees and ship them out as fast as we can into our customers hands!

What you’ll be doing:

As the Loadout Team Supervisor, your role is to be the ultimate relationship manager. You will provide people support in the form of supervising, training, guiding to Coolstore Team Members - in collaboration with our other Team Leaders. Because our Coolstore operations run seasonally, this is an 8-month fixed-term role, from January – September 2024. While it is a full-time role, we are open to exploring job sharing if you would prefer part-time work.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Liaising with the Coolstore Management Team to complete the Loadout Schedule, ensuring all documentation is accurate
• Ensuring Loadout Team Members at all Loading areas are efficiently and accurately load containers to meet Coolstore Schedule
• Monitoring time and attendance to ensure that staff can be paid correctly  
• Providing guidance and support to our Loadout Team – helping them feel comfortable and confident at work
• Complete all Container Loadouts and trucking orders as per the Mr Apple Procedures
• Be a leader and actively participate in building great culture around Health, Safety and Wellness
• Promoting a culture of high-performance and escalating any performance issues to your manager.

What you’ll bring:

• You are a people person – you communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of people
• You will have an eye for detail and accuracy
• You can learn new systems quickly
• Ideally you have experience working in a post-harvest facility or in logistics however this is not essential
• Have the right to work in New Zealand and be able to pass pre-employment screening and checks
