Logistics Assistant

What you’ll be doing

Working at our Hastings Coolstore, you will be responsible for providing logistics and administrative support to our Logistics Planner and Loadout Team Leader. While this is predominantly an office-based position, you might find yourself in the Coolstore assisting the Loadout Team from time to time.

This is a fixed term role, from January until the end of the 2024 apple season.

Your day-to-day tasks may include:

• Updating and monitoring our finished products in our inventory system – receivals, transfers, movements, treatments and damages
• Working with our Loadout and Operations Teams

• Liaising with our Quality Team and Production Planners to ensure our information is accurate
• Any other logistics or administrative activities relating to the storage or dispatch of fruit

What you’ll bring

• Tech savvy – you are a quick learner and can pick up new systems with ease
• Have great communication skills  
• You are a team player who is flexible and adaptable to change
• Have the right to work in New Zealand and willing to complete background and drug screening
• Be open to working afternoons and evenings up to 6 days per week during the season
• A good sense of humour
