Logistics Operations Manager – Coolstores

We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Logistics Operations Manager to manage our pallet stores and logistics operations at our Hastings site. This is a key leadership role within Mr Apple, New Zealand’s largest integrated apple grower and exporter, and part of the Scales Corporation.

What You’ll Be Doing:

‍

Leading a high-performing team, you will oversee the end-to-end flow of packed product, from receival through to storage and export loadouts. You’ll ensure operational efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement. Working closely with packhouses, sales, logistics, and third-party providers, you’ll optimise pallet movements and storage utilisation while maintaining coolstore specifications and market access standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing static storage locations and pallet selection for export.

• Monitoring inventory levels and ensuring timely order fulfilment.

• Leading and fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.

• Championing health, safety, and well-being across operations

• Driving innovation through system software improvements.

• Overseeing budgets and financial reporting for the site.
