Thinning - 2025

Are you a student looking for work during your school or university holidays? Or a local keen on short-term employment? We’re offering full-time apple thinning positions in Napier, Hastings, and Central Hawke’s Bay from November through December.

What you’ll be doing:

‍

Apple thinning involves removing smaller apples from clusters to allow the remaining to grow to perfection. You’ll receive training and support from our team of orchard experts. Working in one of our diverse teams, you’ll feel welcomed from day one.

This is a full-time opportunity working 7.30am – 4.30pm from November to December.

What you’ll bring:

• You’re enthusiastic, reliable and someone who acts with integrity  

• Enjoy staying busy, getting your hands dirty, and keeping active

• You have reliable transport (our orchards are spread across Hawke’s Bay)  

• You have the right to work in New Zealand and can pass pre-employment checks  

• You must be 16 years old by the time thinning commences in early November 2025
